Ever since childhood, Matt has been captivated by music. He began playing guitar and drums at age 10, later teaching himself piano and quickly falling in love with it. In high school, he added saxophone to his repertoire, developing the ability to play multiple instruments entirely by ear.
At 17, Matt recorded his first studio project with his band, Mustard Seed, a Christian original/cover group. Over the years, he has performed with numerous bands and contributed to several recordings as a session musician. Some of Matt’s Influences include, Rick Wakeman, Raymond Manzarek, Richard Wright, Billy Joel and Keith Jarrett, among others. Matt brings a powerhouse of musical talent and creativity to Bad Trixie, blending timeless piano with the iconic synth sounds of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
Matt is also a music producer and composer, creating cinematic compositions for production music libraries. In addition, he also serves as the music director at a few local churches.
